Our team of qualified Chartered Surveyors and Valuers are here to make a professional appraisal using their many years of experience and in-depth local knowledge.

There are three types of survey, outlined here, and we can also provide Energy Performance Certificates on your existing or proposed property.

We can provide a bespoke inspection service to suit the clients’ requirements during the process of construction and we are able to undertake a final snagging out of the building prior to completion to confirm the property is ready for occupancy.

Types of survey

These are the three different types of survey we offer:

Market Valuation

This type of report looks at the location, age and general presentation of the building, but assumes there are no major defects – so it shouldn’t be used to decide whether or not to buy a property, but rather for court proceedings, accounting purposes, tax planning, equity transfer or probate. Fees start from £145 plus VAT.

Homebuyers Survey

This midpoint Survey looks for major defects and essential repairs that affect the property’s value. It’s designed to help you assess whether or not to purchase, whether the agreed price is reasonable and what needs to be done before exchanging contracts. Fees start from £250 plus VAT.

Building Survey

This detailed Survey is best suited for buildings that are older, in poor condition or have been structurally altered. The Report highlights the nature and cause of any defects so you can plan for future repairs and maintenance. Services and fitting are visually inspected and subfloor and roof void inspections are included, where practical, as is photographic evidence of the more significant or unusual defects. Fees start from £500 plus VAT.
